Congratulations! We all made it to the final level of 2020. There is now just 6 more days lefts of the year and what a year it has been. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! May today bring you joy and love whether you are near or far from your friends and family.
The year for me had to go out with a bang. On December 21st, I tested positive for COVID. I started experiencing a post nasal drip days prior and thought it was just allergies. After waking up with severe sinus pressure I made the decision to get tested because I did not want to put anyone at work at risk. Having to quarantine absolutely sucks. I was already feeling down about the holidays because I can’t see my family and was looking forward to working as it would be a great distraction. Luck was not on my side and alas I have to stay home till my symptoms subside. Hopefully I can get back to work next and ring in the new year COVID free.
The positive takeaway from this experience is that my symptoms are extremely mild. I’ve never had a fever, shortness of breath, cough, or even muscle aches! So I am extremely grateful to have a kick butt immune system.
