I haven’t known what to write for quite some time. I left my gig as a stage manager for financial and mental health reasons so I have been readjusting back at Universal. I made a very difficult decision after thinking long and hard on the pros and cons but ultimately I needed to do what was best for me. Deciding that is never wasy because it can be seen as selfish. By leaving, I let down a team of people who wanted and needed my help. I’m still grateful for the opportunity and proud of the work I accomplished in just two weeks of being a stage manager.
Life continues to be stressfull, but I can’t waste my energy on worrying about things I can’t control. I am working on refocusing my ming and continuing to live in the present. I hope I can reach others who are feeling the same and offer some insight into what it’s like to deal with life changes and mental struggles. You are not alone and there are people out there who can and want to help. We are all in this together even if we are at different points in life. Some may say that we are all in the same ocean on different boats but that does not mean we still aren’t all trying to stay afloat.

Great on you for choosing to put yourself first. Like they say on airplanes: “Put on your own oxygen mask before helping the person next to you.”
Here’s to hoping you find peace and joy in your life’s pursuits!
