Planning the perfect road trip is a balance between spontaneity and premeditation. I want to know the begining and the end and have some understanding about what’s possibly along the way. I love to use Google Maps and zoom into the roads to see what side attractions may be around. I’ll save them to my map and come back to it along the way, fitting into the route what works best. For a Road trip that doesn’t have a time constraint the amount of time I take at any particular location wouldn’t matter. It’s all about going with the flow and living in the moment. However sometimes you need to know when you’ll arrive somewhere. So what I would do is figure out how much time some activities and stops could take. I don’t want to end up spending all my time in one place when there’s somewhere else down the road that would be fun to see too.
