A big hello! I am back to share my most recent adventure to Epcot at Walt Disney World. My friend joined me as we tasted our way around The Flower and Garden Festival. At the end of our walk around the world we stepped foot into the butterfly garden. A butterfly landed on each of us and I managed to spot not only caterpillar eggs but some chonky caterpillars munching on an orange tree.
I was absolutely surprised when I noticed tha very tiny caterpillar eggs! But they were arranged so symmetrcally on some of the leaves I had to investigate and take a ton of pictures. It was truly a lucky sight to see.
Now this trip was all about trying food and drinks. Hands down my favorite dessert was the Griddled Maple Pound Cake with Warm Peach Compote and Sweet Corn Gelato from the Northern Bloom booth in Canada. The flavors were absolutely mouth watering and the warm cake paired perfectly with the gelato. My next favorite dish is a festival favorite: Watermelon Salad with Pickled Onions, Feta, and Balsamic Reduction. I got it without the feta and it still tasted delicious! Honestly, it isn’t a complicated salad but again another perfect pairing of flavors and textures. I’m a huge sucker for watermelon as well. Finally our favorite drink of the day was 3 Daughters Brewing Pink Lemonade Hard Cider. They are located in St. Petersburg, Florida.
